here’s a bit of fun for you on this fine Saturday. maybe you went out last night, had a few drinks, or smashed two bottles of great wine over dinner (yes that’s what we did). in which case it’s highly possible you’re in the mood for a big juicy burger right now to get your weekend going.  is a project by french graphic designers Thomas & Quentin, of , who started putting together elaborate burger ideas during their lunch breaks.

Thomas & Quentin were so bored about random sandwich at lunchtime they decided to cook some crazy burgers in their little kitchen.  It soon became a ritual: improvising and experimenting each week new ways of cooking and representing a burger in very short lunch break. It takes about an hour and a half to find an idea, run to a supermarket to get everything, cook, take a shoot and eat. From week to week, they tried to re-invent some edible burgers, despite their over the top made to be photographed nature. From tomato to Tabasco, from pepper to gold powder, from eggs to eggplants, everything is good between two buns.

  1. Reminds me of the Epic Bloody Mary served at a bar in my home town:

    It comes garnished with a cocktail sausage, a pickle, a hunk of cheese, a pickled onion, a celery stick and a cheeseburger. Yes. As a garnish.

  2. This is pretty neat, I know a lot of my friends who would love this! This makes me want to get more creative about my lunch foods. The sushi one has me craving sushi more than ever…
